When we read Psalm 23, God often comes to mind. What if God was not talking about himself but about Lucifer?
Before I start a different view, to better understand this follow up post it’s best to read my prior post: Is It Possible We Are Living In The Wrong World.
Ok let’s start!
A psalm of David
Old Testament Version
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
A Different Perspective!
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want…….. If The devil owns the material world, and we are with him and not with God, then we are the Devil’s sheep and he is the Sheppard. He gives us what we want but not what we truly need. We should want the God who gives us our needs and not the one that gives us our wants.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,……. When we die we are buried in the dirt which is eventually covered by grass and when it rains the water is them absorbed in the soil besides you.
3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake……… For the sake of God we go to church to help us do better and to restore our soul’s but what if its saying the devil guides us in paths of righteousness for his own sake. To help himself by doing what he knows can make us feel better so that we can be distracted and stay in the wrong world. We are giving little to go on in life and the little we know we believe it without wonder. For instance when we suffer we use church to restore our soul’s when if our soul’s were in the right place it wouldn’t need to be restored to begin with. I mean why would it need to be restored if we were in the rightful place?
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me……First off we should fear death. Death in both the dody and soul. One cannot be without the other because then it wouldn’t be death. Everlasting life however is what everyone should want. The body is material and cannot escape death but the soul on the other hand can live everlasting, only if one works to achieve it and believe in it. The Devil on the other hand is the ruler of material, when we live in his world we have to abide by the rules which is the price of of choices is the body eventually be subjected to death. If the Devil is our Sheppard and we are the sheep he leads us by rod and staff telling us to live life not fearing death because God is waiting for us on the other side. What if its a lie because once we’re dead. We’re dead. That’s it! After that its to late and we cannot go back to change anything so this is why we are told this lie. The only way to survive is if our soul survives and that is only granted by God himself.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows……. At church some sit before a table amongst everyone including their enemies, being told to love and forgive one another. They are anointed and told to give up some of their money because God wants us to do it. We don’t ask, well if money is the root of evilness or its created by man then why would god punish us to tide in his name sake. They then return to their homes or lives and carry out the same peaceful behaviors without thinking: Why would someone trust someone with their money not knowing if the person they are tiding to is using it on their personal usage. Not saying they are but some take the money for their own personal usages and not for the true purpose of what the money was meat for. For the poor and homeless. What happened to getting what the poor needed and giving it to them yourselves knowing that the good deed went directly to its rightful owners.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever……. We then say if we follow God’s words then love and goodness would come to us. We the believe that after death God is waiting for us so if we live according to his words we will dwell in his presences forever. But if the only way to survive life is to save our soul’s from death then it makes sense that at times the Devil helps us to feel better for his sake better discarding the truth to us about God and our soul’s. We then think at times that God is helping us when it can be the Devil in disguise to better trick our soul’s for his personal gains.
